Leek’s Sunday Supplement Market Rocks!!

Did you know we love our little town? Well we do, for so many reasons! Recently a customer holidaying in the area told us it was his fifth visit to lovely little Leek. He said he felt like Leek was a town that liked to do things differently, a town where people go the extra mile and as customers he and his wife felt appreciated.

This made us so happy here at Bibelot and we thought he summed up what the town was about and how we hope other people feel about it too. One of our favourite times here at Bibelot is the first Sunday of every month. It’s the day the regular ‘Totally Locally Leek Sunday Supplement market’ is held.

The Sunday Supplement is a popular and award winning market with over 60 stalls featuring hand made artisan products and local food. It’s so diverse and really brings the town to life on an otherwise sleepy day. With new and regular stalls there is so much to see and so much to learn about the art, craft and food produced in Leek and its surrounding areas.

With many of Leek’s independent shops, cafes and pubs open for the day it’s become an event that’s a regular meeting place for friends and families, along with traders and holiday makers. Many of the traders and visitors comment on the unique and friendly atmosphere that The Sunday Supplement creates.

The Market gets going around 10am and continues on until around 3-4pm in the afternoon. On this day we open 11am-3pm, it’s so lovely walking to work through the extra hustle bustle of the day. The next Market will take place on Sunday 7th May, so if you’ve not been before why not come and join us for a great day out?
